Boat Pro Course Description

This course prepares the student for boating in Canadian waters and covers regulations, required safety equipment, navigation rules and operator requirements.

As part of the memorandum of understanding with CPS/ECP the US can now share educational materials with our Canadian neighbors and vice versa. The Boat Pro Course is similar to our own Boat Smart in many ways and is generally used as the introductory course to qualify students for the PCOC card.

For students who are taking or have completed the Squadron Boating Course or Boat Smart a single session to outline the additional content should be sufficient to successfully complete the brief multiple choice examination needed to apply for the PCOC card.

The course is open to both USPS members and public boating students.
